About us

At Let Zero, we believe that everyone deserves to live in a warm, healthy, and energy-efficient home. That’s why we are committed to transforming the private rental sector across South Yorkshire, working in equal partnership with both landlords and tenants to improve housing quality, reduce carbon emissions, and tackle fuel poverty.

Our service

Let Zero is here to make energy efficiency improvements simple and accessible. By offering expert guidance, practical support, and access to funding opportunities, we help landlords and tenants in South Yorkshire to navigate the retrofit process with confidence.

The Let Zero service is delivered by sustainability charity Pure Leapfrog and supported by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.

Energy Efficiency Café for Landlords

Come along and join us for a coffee and a chat to see how we can help ease your retrofit journey. If you wish, this can include a free portfolio consultation where our team will review your properties’ EPC certificates and assess how far each home is from achieving EPC C. We’ll provide ratings indicating likely project complexity, disruption potential, and cost scale (high, medium, or low). Following this analysis, you’ll meet with our team to discuss which properties to prioritise and explore how Let Zero can assist your improvement journey.

Our project

The project is being led by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, supported by a consortium with expertise in needs of landlords and tenants, provision of advice and guidance, data collation and analysis, AI enabled optioneering, together with manufacturers and installers from retrofit supply chains.

The Let Zero service has initially been deployed in South Yorkshire but it is designed to be replicated across the UK, after being tailored to specific needs and local housing types. It will drive growth, innovation and revenue in local supply chains.
